A new partnership of Elim Care and Augustana CareAt Augustana Care and Elim Care, we were each on our own uncompromising quest to foster fullness of life for older adults, in the spirit of Christ’s love. We realized that our paths were converging, so we joined into one organization with one mission and one name: Cassia — inspired by an anointing oil, referenced in Scripture, to reflect our history of compassion, renewal and future growth. We believe that coming together to contribute talents and skills makes us not only stronger but better able to serve.
Founded in 1968, Saint Therese has evolved over the decades, expanding our care and services to anticipate and address the changing needs of seniors. The Saint Therese philosophy of care is anchored in our history. As an extension of the mission and purpose of the Sisters of Saint Benedict, Saint Therese has been guided by the belief that all shall be received as Christ. Saint Therese recognizes that our residents need to receive comprehensive care in a dignified and respectful manner. This concept embraces not only the physical needs of our residents, but also the spiritual, emotional and social needs.
Volunteers of America is the charity that always steps forward to help the most vulnerable. For over 121 years, we have taken on the most difficult tasks to help the most underserved. At Volunteers of America, we are more than a nonprofit organization. We are a ministry of service that includes nearly 16,000 paid, professional employees dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.
Presbyterian Homes & Services has enjoyed the trust of families for generations. In part, because we have offered freedom from the ordinary, by reshaping the landscape of senior housing and services. But that’s not the only reason. An unwavering commitment to your total well-being keeps our focus where it belongs—on giving you the freedom to live well.
